We got some beautiful new plants in Friday…Sky Pencil Holly, Bergenia “Bressingham Ruby’, Cryptomeria ‘Black Dragon’, and loads of new pansies and violas! The weather on Saturday was a little gray, but the rain held off, and we sold some of the many lovely Japanese Maples which have just begun to show off their fall color…Another favorite seemed to be the Dwarf Hinoki Cypress – they are a little short, but their inimitable texture and emerald green color is unforgettable! We’re looking forward to helping you this week…please let us know if you’re looking for particular items!
Pansies and Violas
October 6, 2009 — LDWe’ve gotten some lovely pansies and violas in both 4 and 6 inch pots, with more on the way! Lots of great colors, but they’re moving quickly and the selction changes almost daily. Let us know if you desire certain kinds or large quantities, and we’ll do our best to order them for you!
New Plants!
April 14, 2009 — LDWe are ready for the season here and have begun filling the nooks and crannies with fresh new plants! This past week we brought in some lovely herbs – Mint, Fennel, Rosemary, Dill, and Lavender are among the selections.
Interspersed among the Japanese Maples (just leafing!), you’ll find Annabelle Hydrangeas, Indian Hawthornes, lots of Peonies and Lilies fixing to burst into color!
We also have some ‘early color’ in the form of Geraniums, Dianthus, and Snapdragons, with loads of summer annuals just on the horizon.

April 16, 2008 — LDWe’ve started getting in lots of new plants for your perusal – trees and shrubs that are blooming like crazy, as well as some that have yet to show their colors!
We also have a nice selection of herbs, with more on the way, and the summer annuals have begun to come in. As you know, we bring plants into Sanctuaries when they are hardened off, and ready to be planted. Thus, while our selection may seem a bit slender compared with other places, you may rest assured that our plants are locally grown and perfect for your garden!
